Hi! Welcome to Tightly Knit! I'm Sloane Rosenthal. I design patterns for knitted garments and accessories that are engaging to knit and fit effortlessly into your wardrobe. My patterns introduce knitters to new yarns and techniques to help them make beloved items with meaningful origin stories. I love working with independent and small-batch yarn producers and supporting makers who are helping bring great yarns into the world and making the modern world of knitting more and more amazing every day.

I was born and raised in D.C., but I now live in Northern California with my husband and two children, and have fallen in love with the people and places of my adopted homeland, which inspire a great deal of my work. Independent Fabrication: Volume One, my first book of knitwear patterns, was released in October 2016, and a second volume is forthcoming in fall 2017. In addition to my books and self-published designs, my work has been featured in By Hand Serial and is forthcoming in Interweave Knits.
